This is April, My month of Gratitude
God has brought some people in my life that have been so much of a blessing. Been wondering; If they were not there where would I be? I can’t count
them all but when I count them, this one is COUNTED TWICE!
She is the woMAN that decided she was gonna stay to nurture
me when her husband went to be with the Lord I was only six and was in family
of five (4 thorns and one rose).
She decided, "I am gonna stay, am gonna love them, I am gonna
give them all, I will TEACH them and I will lay pleasure aside to make them grow".
All young women can lean a thing or two from her:
She had no education, no Job and no husband… but she had the
big G… to help her stay motivated. She made sure all the kids went to church. She
kept them in school against her budget. I remember she went all around leaving
no stone unturned; looking for means to keep them fed and dressed. She depended
more on the big G_od, than on the family. Talking about family; some watched in
wonder why she could not marry one of their own. I was too young but I saw them
come to check on her and she said NO, I am still nurturing my babies. She would
hide her tears and wounds just to make us grow.
One of the many lessons I learnt from her was contentment.
Be content on what you have. Learn to leave from your own means. Do not mimic
the lives of those who have it. Instead of that, work hard to be better and
better
I love you mommy
